The kids are grown. They turned out great. I am proud of them. I did it. Thank God.
I suppose I could die now and things would be okay. But, I don’t want to die. Instead, I am going to get on with the rest of my life and see what’s next.

I first saw They Might Be Giants when I was 18 at the Beacon Theater. Now, with my 18 year old son I am seeing the same songs performed as it is the 30th (ish) anniversary of Flood.
I have a lot of feelings about this and because it is me, the expected ones might be melancholy and nostalgia. Yet when I look at this fine young man beside me, I feel the opposite. I feel his sense of wonderment and optimism.
Blue bird of friendliness, like guardian angels it’s always near.
